Cisco SD-WAN

Cisco's SD-WAN solution is a software-based solution that is designed to accelerate business innovation by connecting people, process, data, and things.

Cisco SD-WAN Solutions

Cisco has been a pioneer in the field of networking and is the leading vendor in the SD-WAN market. It offers a range of SD-WAN solutions, which are designed to meet different customer needs. Cisco offers two types of SD-WAN solutions: Traditional and Advanced.

Traditional SD-WAN solutions are designed for enterprises with limited technical expertise, who want to deploy an affordable network that can be managed by their IT staff. These customers have a relatively small number of remote offices, and they want to connect them with high bandwidth and low latency.

Advanced SD-WAN solutions are designed for enterprises who want to migrate from MPLS/VPN networks or from legacy networks like Frame Relay or ATM networks. These customers have many remote offices, they require high availability, and they need low latency between sites. They also need scalability that can grow as their business grows.

Cisco’s SD-WAN solution is a software-based solution that is designed to accelerate business innovation by connecting people, process, data, and things.

Cisco SD-WAN Components:

The Cisco SD-WAN Control Plane:

The SD-WAN control plane is a software-based control plane that runs on Cisco’s IOS XE. The SD-WAN control plane allows a company to tailor application performance, increase scalability and build a centralized SD-WAN architecture.

The Cisco SD-WAN Data Plane:

The Cisco SD-WAN Data Plane is a new way to securely connect your business across the cloud. It’s an evolution in WAN technology that integrates routing, security and WAN optimization into a single, converged fabric.

Securing the Cisco SD-WAN Data Plane:

Cisco SD-WAN Data Plane is secured by a number of methods. First, it is encrypted over SSL to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Second, traffic is routed through a secure tunnel to another SD-WAN device for offloading so that only encrypted traffic traverses the public Internet, and all sensitive data are kept on the private network. Finally, SD-WAN devices authenticate each other as

SD-WAN Summary:

The SD-WAN is a new type of WAN technology that builds on the concept of Software Defined Networking. It is a fully programmable network that allows you to execute complex, cross-domain optimization algorithms with relative ease and low cost.
